Jabra Muhawieh for State Assembly
Jabra Muhawieh — Business Owner • Enrolled Agent • Real Estate Broker
Jabra Muhawieh is a business owner, Enrolled Agent, tax professional, and California real estate broker based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is running for California State Assembly District 21 because he believes government should be accountable to taxpayers, focused on results, and committed to creating opportunities for working families, homeowners, and small businesses.
His family’s story is rooted in the American dream. His grandfather immigrated to the United States in the late 1950s in search of opportunity and built a life through hard work, entrepreneurship, and service to the community. Over the years, his family owned and operated neighborhood businesses, including grocery and liquor stores, laundromats, and real estate investments. These businesses not only supported the family but also served generations of San Francisco residents.
Today, Jabra operates his own tax preparation and planning firm as an Enrolled Agent, helping individuals, families, and small businesses navigate an increasingly complex tax system. He also helps manage his family’s grocery and liquor business, which has served San Francisco since 1906 and is recognized as a Legacy Business by the City of San Francisco.
Jabra began working in his family’s businesses at just eight years old, gaining firsthand experience in the challenges and responsibilities of serving a community and preserving a lasting legacy. Much of his time was spent in the family’s laundromats, where he learned to clean and repair washing machines, assist customers, and help keep the business running day-to-day. He also helped renovate and lease vacant apartments, gaining early exposure to property management, responsibility, and the people skills needed to work with tenants from all walks of life. These experiences taught him the value of hard work, accountability, and perseverance, and shaped his future in business, finance, and real estate.
As a California real estate broker, Jabra has gained direct insight into the state’s housing challenges. He has worked with buyers, sellers, and investors and has seen how housing shortages, affordability issues, and regulatory barriers make it increasingly difficult for Californians to achieve homeownership and build generational wealth.
Beyond his business experience, Jabra had the unique opportunity to serve as a batboy and clubhouse attendant for the San Francisco Giants during their World Series championship dynasty from 2012 through 2016. Working alongside championship teams reinforced the importance of discipline, teamwork, accountability, and commitment, values that continue to guide him in business, community service, and public life.
He brings a private-sector perspective and an operator’s mindset to public service. His focus is on fiscal responsibility, transparent government, efficient budgeting, and reducing unnecessary barriers that make it harder for Californians to live, work, and succeed. He believes government should be measured by results, not promises.
Jabra is especially passionate about tax policy and regulatory reform. As an Enrolled Agent and licensed tax professional, he has seen firsthand how high taxes and complex regulations impact working individuals, families, and business owners. When people are burdened by excessive taxation or unnecessary bureaucracy, it becomes harder to invest, expand a business, purchase a home, save for retirement, or build long-term financial stability.
He believes government has a responsibility to fund essential public services, but taxpayers also deserve accountability, transparency, and efficiency. Before asking Californians to pay more, he believes government should ensure existing resources are used wisely, eliminate wasteful spending, and focus on delivering measurable results.
Jabra supports protecting family legacies by fighting to repeal Proposition 19, preserving Proposition 13 protections, and preventing higher taxes on inherited family homes. He believes families should be able to pass homes, businesses, and the fruits of a lifetime of hard work to the next generation without facing unfair tax burdens.
On technology and innovation, he supports maintaining California’s leadership while protecting privacy rights, free speech, and individual liberties. He believes innovation and personal freedom can coexist, and that government should encourage economic growth without sacrificing constitutional rights.
As your Assemblymember, Jabra Muhawieh will work to strengthen the economy, support small businesses, expand opportunities for homeownership, protect family legacies, and restore trust in government through transparency and accountability.
He would be honored to earn your support and represent District 21 in the California State Assembly.
